Bunny lines are diagonal lines that appear on the bridge of your nose. They form when the nasalis muscle is triggered, which occurs when you laugh, smile and squint.
Ageing can cause these once dynamic lines to become static, but genetics can also play a part in whether or not you develop static bunny lines.
Muscle-relaxing injections can temporarily interrupt the nerve-to-muscle signals on the top of the nose (where bunny lines occur). Once the nerve can’t communicate to the muscle to wrinkle, existing lines are diminished, and the muscle can’t contract and cause the appearance of new wrinkles.
This temporary treatment can create a more vibrant and youthful-looking nose. Many of our patients also tell us that they feel much more confident.
